Thermoskin® is used for

• Prevention;  when worn during warm-up prior to activity, increase the elasticity of muscles, tendons and ligaments, reducing the risk of injury when under stress and strain.
• Treatment; support, compression and heat therapy. They can be worn almost anytime and anywhere, so they can continuously work towards helping overcome your injury more quickly, giving increased comfort to injured areas and reducing inflammation and swelling.
• Rehabilitation; a valuable aid to helping rehabilitate injured tissue. Because Thermoskin® makes tendons and muscles more pliable and elastic, it allows them to become fully extensible and more responsive to therapy and exercise following surgery or lay-off after injury.

Thermoskin® heat retainers are a simple form of prolonged heat treatment for muscles, tendons and ligaments. The application of Thermoskin® heat retainers will enable the return to regular activity more quickly. Unique to Thermoskin® is the Trioxon - the material which not only captures and retains the natural body heat, but also, unlike other products, allows the skin to ventilate and remain comfortably dry.

Thermoskin® heat retainers work in four ways:

• They increase the blood flows to the damaged tissues and so speeds up the healing process
• They provide light compression to counteract tissue swelling
• They allow your skin to ventilate and remain well oxygenated and therefore comfortable
• They reduce stiffness

Thermoskin® combines heat treatment with gentle support, which work together to give you temporary relief from arthritic pain. Thermoskin® retains your own body heat to bring you soothing temporary relief without drugs, rubs, oils or ointments.

Thermoskin® applies heat continuously for a long period and during a range of activity levels. Unlike traditional heat treatment (which requires you to be immobile) Thermoskin® can be worn and used as part of an active life.

Thermoskin® has been designed to be easy to position, easy to adjust, comfortable to wear and removable with minimum stress and body movement. It wraps around and secures with flexible Velcro fastenings.

Allergy sufferers - As the inner material is a synthetic fabric, those allergic to nylon etc, should use with caution when wearing the product. If a rash appears, discontinue use until the rash subsides.

Traumatic injury - Thermoskin® should not be used immediately following traumatic injury (ice is the recommended treatment during this stage). Thermoskin® may be worn 36 - 48 hours after this treatment. Should the customer not be sure, recommend medical assistance.

• Do not use ointments, liniments or oils under Thermoskin®
• It is very important that Thermoskin® is not too tight.
• Thermoskin® can be worn at work, at home, during activity and sports, and especially while you sleep.
• Thermoskin® should be worn against the skin.
• When bathing, scrub the area of skin Thermoskin® has covered to remove any toxins drawn to the surface.
• Hand Wash your Thermoskin® regularly, rinse well and line dry.
• If worn at the office, around the house or in bed, wash Thermoskin® every 2 or 3 days. If worn during sports activity or heavy work, wash daily.
• Note: Persons susceptible to allergy or heat rash, should not wear Thermoskin® if symptoms appear.
